Niccolò Chiriatti from Como, Italy signed with Union College in Kentucky after working with Col-Ten to consider multiple options that combined the right tennis and academic standards he was looking for from his university career. Niccolò started his college experience in August 2022. After finishing his first semester at Union College, we asked Niccolò how he was finding his exciting new experience in the US.
"I met Col-Ten through Greta Carbone ( DePaul University, Chicago) and they were always available to help and assist me in choosing the best university for me. I arrived here in the United States in Kentucky and integrated fairly quickly. I saw a new world with a different educational system in which sport plays a major role. Being a student-athlete helps a lot to fit into a whole new system and to interact with other students at the university. The tennis team is very strong and there is a high level of competition. Union College is competing in NAIA and we are ranked #12 in the country."
